Brompton Service

We stock a wide range of Brompton parts to meet our same-day repair commitment.

General Service £80.00

Usually recommended every 6-12 Months. This is very dependent on the use the bike gets and type of weather/conditions the bike is being used in.

  • Drivetrain removed, degreased, & re-assembled (replaced as required).

  • Frame, fork, and components wiped down.

  • Frame & stem hinge inspected and lubricated.

  • Seatpost cleaned and adjusted.

  • Wheels cleaned & checked for any damage & trued.

  • Brake & gear adjustment (pads and cables replaced as required)

  • Brompton Electric: Firmware update (if required).

Full Service £150.00

Recommended every 12-18 Months. It depends on the use you give to the bike. This is very dependent on the use the bike gets and type of weather/conditions the bike is being used in.

Everything included in the General Service, plus:

  • Bottom bracket checked for wear/damage. (replaced if required).

  • Headset bearings removed, checked for wear/damage, cleaned and rebuilt with fresh grease. (bearings/headset replaced when necessary)

  • Front hub wheel stripped and re-greased (as required). Dynamo and motor wheels do not apply.

  • Brompton Electric: Firmware update (if required).

* Does not include the cost of replacing parts.

* Brompton hinge replacement is not included in the main services and is an additional cost.

Individual Repairs:

  • Puncture repair/hub gear/e-bike - £15

  • Re-build wheel from - £50

  • Headset service - £30

  • Bottom bracket service - £30

We also…

We repair and service Sturmey Archer internal hubs:

  • Greasing and lubrication.

  • Replacement of components due to wear or breakage.

We repair and rebuild Brompton wheels:

  • Accidental damage (broken wheel, buckled wheel, etc.)

  • Rim wear (wear on the braking surface)

  • Burst wheel (cracks around the spokes or at the rim joint).

Internal hub service

Please note:

* Parts are not included

* Hourly labour rate £60

* £15 labour rate per 15 min on all other jobs.

* VAT-Inclusive prices

*We do not lend workshop tools. We do however have a floor pump to use in store.

* Please note, any serviced bikes not collected 48 hours after completion may be liable to a £10 per day storage fee.

* Bikes not collected after 30 days are disposed of or donated to charity.

*Servicing parts not supplied by ourselves will carry a surcharge starting at £5.

*Please note that special orders cannot be cancelled once ordered. As these items are made specifically to your request, they are also excluded from our returns policy unless damaged or faulty.
